We believe that anyone can experience a financial crisis. When a crisis occurs, we offer targeted short-term emergency assistance to solve the crisis. We believe it is important to treat families with respect and compassion. We provide utility assistance, two weeks of groceries through client choice food pantries, and free prescription medications.
Crisis Control Ministry was founded in 1973 by religious congregations in Winston-Salem to offer better coordinated financial assistance for people in need. As a faith-based organization, we extend God’s grace to the families we serve. We are the largest emergency assistance provider in Forsyth County, and served nearly 17,000 people in FY 2016. Our service area is Forsyth and Stokes Counties in NC.
